Let’s talk about Death…
Lets talk about Death. Not just Death but Empowered Death.
After our inspiring chat last night, I feel so drawn to this subject at the moment and passionate that it comes out of hiding and into our awareness.
It seems its one of those things that, like Menopause is a bit of an elephant in the room.
We all know it's going to happen but we live in a kind of pretend place, Maya, Illusion, where we think we have loads of time, and, well we 'll just be here always and we don't need to think about it now.
Funerals and plans often happen in a flurry at the end, while everyone is in shock and trauma and it's all pulled together quite quickly.
In reality many people just aren't religious nowadays and possibly have no idea other options even exist.
Do you know that you can make a Death Plan?
Do you know there are many choices other than Church ceremonies and coffins?
Do you know you don't have to be embalmed and also that you can be buried in a natural burial ground and not in a Church yard?
Do you know there are some undertakers that allow a beautiful honouring of Death ceremony to happen in the Chapel of rest? And there are Female undertakers?
Do you know that you can request to wash the body of your loved one after death?
Did you know there are people who can support you in the last weeks and months of life to create all this, they are there to support you and your family as you transition through one of the greatest transitions of life.
Soul Midwives and Doulas are here to empower and support you at the end of life if you choose it.
This and so much more can happen for you, and I don't know about you but I would love to take all that pressure from my loved ones when my time comes.
